Default The dreaded dead dash.

Well, I thought that I would be lucky. Not so, it's gone all Pete Tong ! ! !
Has anybody tried to fit the later dash into their V70?
Mines a 52 plate V70 D5 manual.
I have seen a set of clocks for a petrol auto V70 of the right year and am not sure whether to buy or not.
What's everybody else's opinion?

The P1 clusters are a nightmare, I have had mine repaired twice now for different symptons in the last 5 yrs and now I have a new fault the digital clock has gone into time travel mode and goes into self adjust mode ( backwards only ) for the first 5 minutes of any journey. Decided I am going to just live with it for the time being.

UPDATE !!!!

I have paid £200 for what has been described as a fully reconditioned unit guaranteed for life from volvodiagnostics.

A bit expensive but I want reliability.
Lets see how long it lasts.

How do I get rid of the SRS warning please?
And has anybody else had a problem with the tailgate open sensor/switch?

Does anybody need an o/s/r upper lamp unit minus bulbs?
It is the non ridged type. I needed the other type.
£15 to anyone that wants it.

Thank you to everyone that commented on my original post.

That needs a high level reader or diagnostic tool to clear
Volvo VIDA/Dice will do it as will the Autel unit ( in most but not all circumstances)
You could go to a dealer ££££££££, buy a VIDA/Dice set up £100 ish and you supply laptop, buy that Autel or check out a local body repair shop. It's a little appreciated fact but they have contacts with competent sparkys who come by to switch off warnings and reset belt pre-tensioners and all that sort of routine post accident stuff.

I drove a virtual deLorean for best part of five years before I got the DIM fixed. Never got worse, heat affected it. Almost never happened on cold start unless the ambients were into the twenties C. Running A/C reduced it to a significant extent. Oddly it sometimes managed to stop at the correct time.
