Default Radio reception

Hi all, I have a 2016 v60, the radio is poor, constantly loosing reception, sometimes showing “No Reception” in display sometime not, has anyone had similar issues, also both door mirrors have a grinding/rubbing sound when car is being locked or unlocked.
Thanks Matt

I'm assuming that your car is practically identical to mine.

My radio works fine; only once in my five months of ownership have I suffered a 'no reception' problem and then only for about 5 minutes. I usually listen to DAB stations.

However I also dislike the sound the door mirrors make when locking/unlocking... the wretched things also freeze up when it gets frosty! If you weren't aware, they can be disabled in the infotainment system settings.

I think the noise made by the electronic handbrake is even worse...

I've had occasional dropouts (Kettering seems to be a blackspot). However I did also weaken the signal when I had my phone plugged in to charge sat in front of the gear lever. Changing the USB 12v adaptor and repositioning the phone sorted it.

Are you using DAB stations or FM? If it's only a DAB problem it could be the area you're in. The folding mirrors do make a horrible noise, noticeably louder than other brands and the newest Volvos but you get used to it.
