There is also two types. I have a spare older style but no good to me. I fitted poly bushes, new ball joints and removed any rust earlier in the year but could do with replacing. I think the top ones were worse than the bottom but will have a good look over winter.
My crossmember was one from another car but the bottom is rusting out. Could be repaired but not supposed to I assume being a suspension part but could be wrong. I’d like to weld a strengthening plate on the bottom of the new one I have but not sure if that is a MOT failure or not.

I thought you weren’t allowed to weld repair suspension components but I have read that is not the case.
