Recall Incomplete
So I took my Volvo V60 into the dealers on Tuesday for the software update following the recall about the Emergency Braking System.
It took half a day, picked it up and thought no more about it. Having seen the new recall yesterday about seatbelts, I thought I would put my VIN in the Volvo recall checker out of interest (Mines a 2020 Model so I know its no affected by the seatbelt recall) The checker came back as recall incomplete, so now I am wondering if the dealer did my recall properly or do these things take a while to update? I was assuming everything gets updated automatically but I don't know if thats the case? Can anyone shed any light on this before I call the dealer and give them an earful? Thanks All

DVLA data can take weeks to be updated.

Oh OK, but it was the Volvo website that stated recall incomplete - does it get the info from DVLA?
I would of thought Volvo would update first?

Sorry I thought you were looking at the DVLA site, I would think any recall info to the DVLA would come from Volvo not the other way round.
Volvo's IT department are really slow in updating site information, and very good at messing up working web page and making them useless like the Volvo I.D one.

Ah thanks null11eaf its what I had thought, its pretty much the same with other manufacturers , when I had my Skoda they would take months to update the system when I had a service - which was very unhelpful when I had to trade it in for my Volvo and needed proof of the services.

Do the dealers contact you or do I need to do the chasing? Just put my vin number in the link & it says one or more updates . Car is a 2020.

I had a letter through the post from Volvo, it was just at the beginning of lockdown so this week was the first chance I had to get it done.
I would chase the dealers as you could have slipped through the net letter wise.

I had mine done on the 5th June and the link shows “no outstanding recalls”
