service interval on the 1600 D2 is 12500 miles !

The later Volvo engined 2000 cc D2 is 18000 mile intervals but it doesn't use the powershift auto box .

Is our service handbook wrong Clan? Defiantly says 15k for ours. Wouldn't be the first time there was a misprint.

volvo have never used a 15000 mile service interval , must be a foreign market handbook ? I would get the correct service book from your dealer , how many stamps has it got in it?

Has 3 now, including 3 month one. They were the supplying dealer. The cars service indicator did not come on at the 12,500 indicated mileage point last year. We had it serviced at about 14k by time indication.

I have a 64 plate D2 V60 with Geartronic box. The service interval on the computer works it out at 12,500 miles between services on my car.

I got the service book out and it is indeed 12,500 as you say. The reason I thought it was 15k was because the first service was at 6k with the next one due at 18k but the one year service time came up at just before 15k and was 15k something entered in the book and I got that figure into my head as the service interval.

So Powershift fluid change at 37,500 or 3 years.

so you had only done 6000 miles in the first year and had the service a year after the PDI date ?
Then you had the 2nd year service at 15000 miles i guess ...

Powershift oil and filter is at the 50000 mile service ..

Hi Clan.

The car was an ex Motability contract that ended early, after 8 months, so the Main dealer serviced it when I bought it under the Volvo Selekt scheme. Then I had it serviced one year later. That's how those service mileages came about.
