Second that. A much cheaper option. Yet another feature I'm so glad I ain't got!

If you can afford posh wheels, and the locking nuts to keep them, and carry a key to unscrew them, then carrying one of these in the glove compartment is a no brainer, surely?

How many V40s have tyre pressure monitoring? Don't think mine does (2015 model).

My 2016 D2 does, but works by monitoring the rotational velocity of the wheels not the pressure in the tyres. Tyres inflated to different values will have differing diameters so will rotate at different rates for the same vehicle speed.

You'll need the system deactivating if not going ahead with the TPMS system again - believe it can. IIRC, on my '12 V70, it worked through the same system as keyless entry/start etc.

The light switched on during an MOT might be failure these days (not fully sure, but could be).

All new cars sold since November 1st 2014 have TPMS fitted by law. It isn't optional.
