Default 07 XC70 to 16MY XC60

Hi all, trading my 2007 118k XC70 for a new XC60. Went to the dealership about 4 weeks ago with the D4 190 SE Geartronic 2WD in my head, left after ordering the D5 220 AWD R-Design Lux Nav Geartronic Must say, pleased with deal and pick up the new XC60 in 2 weeks.
Couple of silly questions..... This Polestar thingy, on an already 220 hp car what would it offer? Is there a fuel consumption benefit as well?
On my XC70 I have the swing down dog guard but can't find that as an option on the XC60, anyone have one and is it an option?

Thanks guys

James

Thanks, found the info. Polestar give an extra 10hp and 25lb/ft so not really worth it for the D5 220
Dog guard, great, will order it tomorrow (and a bumper protector)

Jazbee,

Polestar is more than just the bhp and lb/ft increase........it improves the driveability of the car massively, as it extends the rev range over which the increased torque is available.

They also adjust the gearbox to the Polestar map making changes much smoother.

Personally, irrespective of the model, if I continue with Volvo cars for many years to come I will Polestar every single one of them.
