Default New V60 owner - how do I load up CDs to my HDD

Hi all,

Just got my V60 D4 yesterday. For some reason, from what I had read in the Volvo literature I thought loading music from CD to the car's HDD was as simple as feeding the CD in. On the relevant menu I feed the CD in and nothing changes on the menu screen - it won't let me do anything. Having searched the forum it looks like others have had a similar problem, but the solution looks like integral calculus from first principles. Is there a straightforward way to do this, for a straightforward bloke?

thanks

You can copy MP3 onto your internal hard disc, but you cannot rip CDs.

Rip them on Windows media player or download them as mp3's and put them on a USB stick and plug it into the cars USB port. Don't forget to tell media player to remove copy protection or the car media player won't be able to read them.
