C70 Handbrake Cable Replacement
Hi guys,
I have a feeling my handbrake cable needs replacing, as it has been tightened, but when I apply it, it makes a very creaky sound, and seems like it wants to edge forward, and this is on almost flat ground. I did park it on a hill in gear, pre tightening and it seemed dodgy, when I got back in the car, it began to roll back (so sharply pressed the brake pedal!). Cant find any information about replacing my brake cable, as most of it is for the previous generation C/S70. Does anyone know how to do it, parts required, and is it a difficult job? Or is it a job better suited for my garage? Cheers Phil

Has anyone tried replacing the cable on any of these platform cars?
Or alternatively, is there a alternate way to tighten the handbrake, beside tighening the nut next to the handbrake? (it creaks from the left hand side (N/S), so thinking one side may have stretched more than the other.)
