As long as it meets the OEM spec rating of 0W30 A5/B5, in theory you could use any brand. I stick with Castrol Edge as that was the OEM recommendation.

That said, there are guys on here who can give you chapter and verse about the relative merits of various oils from major brands and some are more highly thought of than Castrol.

On one of those ‘chapter and verse’ threads here or somewhere else it was stated that Castrol Edge is no longer A5/B5 compliant due to a slight change in the A5/B5 specification... I figure my engine hasn’t read the new spec, so will continue to use it.

Dont let dealership do the software update then as it may start spilling the oil out with disgust :P

As for OP, as said above - any oil within spec will do, dont worry too much about brand. I use Castrol now, before I had ELF - depends on actual price fluctuations on amazon. As long as its a well known brand you can trust and suits the engine spec - oil is an oil

Its about £25 for 5L and A5/B5.

I always go to Opie Oils website and see what deals come up, I went for a Millers oil this time due to price. Don't get hung up about brands and the big names; as long as it meets or exceeds the specs in the handbook it's all good.

You can have it delivered to your door and then do it yourself or hand it to your friendly garage to do.
