My best was 6.3lt/100km but with mixed driving -no highway, and 1/3 of the route town center.
1 hour , 37.7km, 6.3 lt/100km (posted pics in another thread)

What was your average speed in highway?
I find it that the car runs lower consumption in town than in highway.
Overall, can you share your impressions with the B5?
Did you own a D5 before to compare it and do you find it powerful enough for your needs?
Yes imperial mpg , I set the cruise to 58mph for Abbott 20 miles. I find in town the car is a bit thirsty compared to motorway driving but still gives a decent mpg.
This my first Volvo so I can’t compare it with another Volvo, my previous car was a Freelander 2 2.2 190bhp , compared to the volvo the Freelander drove like a tractor.
The B5 is way powerful enough, today for example I came up to a roundabout in the outside lane ,, came to my turn off and boy racer was right up my tail , squeezed the accelerator and he was left for dead . For a big car with a relatively small engine this thing can move.

Ok, this is not realistic driving. BUT overall consumption seems very good admittedly for the overall setup.
What i noticed, is that the car burns a lot of fuel when pressed hard, or relatively
gat and This might not be the case with a V6.
Also i have the consumption view set to current consumption Per second in main drivers display to see what is the instant consumption lt/km.
Finally i find the engine sound unrefined but only in low revs not in higher range.
I would like to see 1-mile range like the RRS V6.

Haven’t tested full liner ho/torque execution , i am sure it’s enough.

Would love the refined quietness of hybrid, but wouldn’t want to have to deal with its reliability issues.
