Question 05/07/09 - Bridge Of Allan

"SUNDAY 5th JULY is the 'Pre-67 Ford Owners Club' Show at Bridge of Allan, and is a good venue to have a Club Stand, if you are interested in attending and putting your car on show please let me know by 15th JUNE. Cars need not be 'concourse' for this event, but clean and tidy on the day, as it is a club stand there is no age limit, we will need to have at least 8-10 cars to make this event worthwhile."

This was going to be a great idea, but unfortunately not enough people replied in time, so a stand couldn't have been orgainised for this show (3 cars really wouldn't have been worth it).

However, nothing has been said about this "meet" being cancelled. I did a bit of searching on the web, and this "Pre-67 Ford Owners Club" show looks pretty good. Plus it looks like the weather might not be too bad either. http://www.pre67ford.co.uk/

So who is up for still coming to this show as a group? Nobody said we can't meet in the car park, have a nosey at out lovely Volvos, and then go and look at the inferior Fords, lol.

Hi Dunc.
I am still going to the Bridge of Allan Show, but with my local car club, I just thought if people were not willing to come along to a 'club stand', and take advantage of having free entry, all park together on the field, etc then they might not have been interested in turning up, paying car parking, admission charges, being spread out over the car park, I did not think there was enough interest, that was the reason I cancelled.
Might see you and some others on the day hopefully !
Cheers,
Kevin.

sorry, i too have made other plans since it was cancelled as a club outing.

hopefully picking up my dads new jag XJ-S on saturday night so will be working my magic on it on sunday now we will have two classics in one household!

will hopefully see everyone at another event- although chances of my car attending any looking slimmer and slimmer, its on a limited mileage insurance policy and i thought 3k was loads since it is still a project after all... suffice to say theres barely 600 miles left!

Nick
