Default P2127 Pedal Pos Validation Switch 2 Low

Hi

Volvo S40 1.6 Petrol 2006

I have a reduced engine performance warning on the dash. When you plug in a scanner it comes up with “P2127 Pedal Pos Validation Switch 2 Low”.

Every now and then the car dies of power and goes into limp mode.

If you turn the ignition of and on again it clears the loss of power, but the warning remains.

I’ve replaced the accelerator pedal but the fault still remains.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice? Could it be the throttle body?

Thanks

Just for feedback, throttle body replaced, seems to have fixed the issue, fingers crossed!
