more electric window probs

1993 240 se
electric windows have been working normally,now suddenly all of them have stoppped working.If you leave them for about an hour and then try, one of them will move for about a second and then stop.
I haven't got access to a meter until tomorrow.
Any ideas why movement and then nothing.

I'm not sure but I think the fuse for this circuit is not just a fuse in your model it's an automatic circuitbreacker so if there is a problem in the window lifts circuits the conduct of this automatic circuitbreacker should be as you describe it. You can uncouple the window lifts one by one and localize the problem.
