Default 2008 S40 2.0D - cam belt change when???

Hi all,

I have a 2008 S40 2.0D Sport R-Design which is on 100,000 miles, i took it to a local garage for service and he's told me the cam belt needs changing, so I had a dig around on the t'interweb and have had so much conflicting information its untrue!

Some places say it should be done at 70k, some say 100k and others say 144k so I really dont know which to believe. I've looked through my service book and manual and there isnt a single reference to it in there.

Does anybody know for sure when its meant to be done?

Thanks in advance.

the final answer is 150000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first , there is no problem with cambelts or aux belt rollers on these engines , they go the distance ...
