Default Deadlocks etc Deactivation

Just a simple query from a not-very-new newbie.

2006 S60 SE. If the deadlocks/alarm system is set to normal/full ptotection should the LED on the Deactivation Switch be lit or not ? I think it should NOT be lit when in full-on mode but LIT when in deactivated mode.

Am I correct, or........... ?

Many thanks for rapid response.

Default Switch

You are correct in your asumption. Also you will receive messages in the display when you change this option ie "Half Guard" when internal sensors turned off and "Full Guard" when sensors on.
By the way this switch only turns on/off the internal sensors it does not have any influence on the locks.

To clarify.
You are correct the orange led will light when deactivating button is pressed. This light turns off once you arm the car.
The dashtop led will still flash red to let you know the system is armed.
This Reduced Guard setting means the deadlocks, interior sensor and inclination sensor (if fitted) are deactivated. But not the door sensors or immobiliser.
This means you can leave passengers in the car who can still open the doors from the inside in case of an emergency. The alarm will still go off.
