Coding A Used Towing Module For An XC40
I have installed a used genuine Volvo retractable towbar (part # 32270801), control module (part # on the sticker is 31454548 but I believe that the actual part # on the packaging would have been 31454603?), switch and loom on a 2019 XC40.
I would now like to code the TRM to the new car. From what I gather, VIDA may or may not support the coding of a used TRM, however I cannot quite confirm this? I am also unsure whether using Vdash or Orbit to update the CEM to enable the TRM to function is going to cause problems further down the line with software updates via VIDA? Does anyone know whether towbar modules can be transferred between cars and receive a software update on the replacement vehicle? Or will the module remain locked to the previous XC40 and it may be wise to purchase a new TRM? Last edited by EViS; Apr 28th, 2024 at 13:52. |
