Siren unit (2001 V70) wanted, UK

Removed and opened my siren unit but it is a real mess in there, got another used one from local breakers, opened it up and its even worse, everything eaten away by battery acid.
Anyone got a working or repairable siren unit? I don't want the alarm to work particularly, I just want to lose the message on the dash and to have a working sunroof.

I'm too tight to pay for a new siren. I think volvo should give em to us as I don't know of any other car that has this problem.
