I've upgraded all my bulbs to RED SMDs, even in the interior overhead light for the illumination and seat belt light, and the electric window switches....

I followed this guide here → http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=193901

Was it easy doing the window switches? I noticed mine don't illuminate in the rear of the car (they do in the front), do yours?

Another one I looked at the other day was the alarm cancel switch - I took one apart and that looks a bit tricky, the bulb sits in a tiny plastic channel. Long nosed pliers required or something as my fingers definitely won't fit in there

it was pretty easy, for me.... I'm not unfamiliar with unsoldering connections on a PCB and replacing components...

both the front door switches light up but I noticed the rear ones don't.., I have plans to put SMDs in them so they do.... I also put red SMDs in the little storage cubby slots in the centre control panel so I can see them in the dark...

when I did the Interior Overhead Light I got a nice surprised the first time I went out in the dark... the red SMD I'd put in filtered through into the main White main lights so it has a nice warm red glow to it...

today I managed to finally get round to putting SMDs in the vanity mirrors by taking the thick/wide SMD apart and used the end caps from the standard incandescent festoon bulb.., I will post a new Thread on how to do them, they're easier than I thought...

here's the pictures of the drivers door switch (the passenger switch is the same, only less LEDs, obviously)

6 Green LEDs under each switch...

The back side of the PCB...

The RED SMDs in place and ready to reassemble....

Cheers for that, handy they've got the polarity marked on the board
