For Sale: Very Nice GL B200E Auto Saloon. For Sale
I have two 240 2.0i Auto's one in white and one in red and one of them has to go and my wife and I prefer the white colour and it has lower miles, it was a tricky decision as they are both sound cars and very pleasing on the eye.
240 GL 146k miles fsh upto 18k miles ago DIY servicing since. A huge folder of history and original owners pack includung the fully stamped service book and original spare keys. Four previous owners. No rust or bodywork issues anywhere, drives and stops as it should. Went straight through its last MOT in October with no advisories. New discs, pads, power steering pump and tyres recently, and I spent a small fortune having the heater motor professionally replaced two months ago. One fly in the ointment would be slight wear in the power steering rack (seals) as on cold mornings it takes 30 seconds to warm up and activate fully. She is a lovely car which never fails to start or misses a beat, I would drive to Scotland in her tomorrow (if I could afford the fuel!), reluctant sale but I cannot justify running two....or so the wife tells me. A very reasonable £695 asked. Any questions or to arrange a test call Jon 07919897509 Don't make me have to Ebay her! Last edited by JCL; Mar 15th, 2011 at 22:09. |

Opps, I think you have slipped this into 'wants' rather than 'sales'.

Oooops indeed but I am unable to move it, I'm hoping the powers that be will do it for me.
Thanks for the good wishes, yes she is a cracking car and will serve the next owner well and turn a few heads too. Jon |

hahaha, it's my other half who forces the sale and your other half who will prevent it..... I love an irony!
The front fogs and hidden driver lights make for a car with presence, I love that front square on view. Both sets of auxillary lights have there own independant switches within the central console and were fitted by the original owner many years ago, the then manager of Southampton Football Club in fact as it was registered to the club and being his company car for four years he did the bulk of its current mileage by travelling the length and breadth for away games, and therefore the first 100k miles were driven on mainly motorways and the service book is stamped by Southamptons main Volvo dealer who has supplied it new all the way through. Incidentally I gave her an engine service 1000 miles ago including Oil&filter, air filter, spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor arm, greased all hinges and pivot points checked all other fluids for levels and condition. Reciepts for such works always slot into the service folder. I appreciate that the Isle of Wight isn't the easiest location to view a car so I can discuss meeting on the mainland somewhere. Any questions pm or text or phone. Jon Last edited by JCL; Mar 16th, 2011 at 21:45. |
