New here - what's this forum's attitude to pictures?
G'day Folks,
I've just bought myself a PV544 and would like to start a bit of a messing about / build thread. I've done this before for other vehicles (some of which still ain't done) but these tend to be a bit "photo heavy" See for example => https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rov...olland.298002/ Or http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...nz-thread.html #### In the old days people used to put their pictures on a server such as dropbox and then just link to a forum. These days, however, these server based services cost money. I'm sure users here have noticed the many "update your payment plan" type messages. In this brave new interweb world it is more apparent that someone somewhere has to "pay"... So the question is If I upload loads of (Volvo PV) pictures on this forum are the administrators / owners gonna flip out? Or is this gonna be a welcome thing? |

Like this?
PVs seem quite popular in Holland.

I can't speak for the moderators, but you will need to downsize the pictures.

...I've been trying to find them. Usually in VBulletin software they are listed somewhere on the forum listings. Can't find 'em 'ere though. (There are of course many ways of attracting the attention of the moderators on any forum but I'd rather not resort to bad behaviour just yet!) |

My latest addition doesn't look as good as that, but it does work!

It's good and solid, but every panel, apart from the bonnet, has some form of dent or scrape. It's called patina these days, so I may leave it like it is.

Yes Aston Martin DB5 colour Silver Birch could look good, but how about the 1960's colours used by Ferrari that were silver grey, or Jaguar 60's silver grey.
I thought about all these for my 1800S, but stuck with Volvo's Graphite Grey, the original colour of my car. Dependent on the light the car can look anything from pale grey, the storm blue or even high gloss black.
