Default C30 Leather

Hi, I've got a 2010 R-Design C30 with the two tone cream and black seats but I've found that the cream is looking a bit grey, does anyone have any experience with getting it looking fresh again? I've tried cleaning with leather wipes but by the look of the few patches which are still cream it's looks like the colour has rubbed off the leather.

If the colour has come out, it will need reapplying. Be aware, the cream sections aren’t leather, it’s only imitation leather so all purpose cleaner would be a better bet than leather wipes as they are formulated for leather. There was a thread a year or so back on here where a guy had the cream bits re coloured and it looked spot on and wasn’t too many ££.

Don't suppose you'd know what sort of places would do recolouring? I would have guessed Volvo but they'd charge a lot for it I'd guess

Don’t go to Volvo, they will laugh at you. I would have a google for upholsterers in your local area and give a few a call. Alternatively you could do it yourself with a kit from Gliptone or Furniture Clinic. It’s not too difficult

Would the kits work, most of them look as though they're designed for leather but you said it's not real leather?

Nor is the leather in most cars. It will work as the colour process is similar to sprayed leather. The backs and sides of the leather seats in most cars aren’t real leather and I have had good results repairing these areas with leather repair kits in the past as the colourant is a similar product from the factory. The main thing is to seal it all in at the end so the colour doesn’t wear off quickly. The cream section of R-Design seats always go this way sadly.

As per Sasha94 said, have a word with Gliptone or Furniture Clinic, I recently re-coloured some seats I bought for my 940 (still got to install them yet) but I was very impressed with the stuff I got from Furniture Clinic, although its designed for leather I've just tried it on a scrap section of the hard plastic trim and it works just fine, so I intend to re-colour my black door cards to match the grey on the seats, David
