Windscreen washer bottle leak
The washer bottle's leaking quite rapidly - since, I think, going over a particularly nasty pothole. Accepting that the wheel arch liner needs to come off to have a look, is there a drain plug or similar in it that might have come loose, or should I just accept that it's cracked and order a new one? (2008 V70 D5) ?

I may have found the answer from an old thread - apparently the hose can work loose

My washer system leaked persistently. I found the problem to be cracks in the corrugated feed pipe. I replaced this with PU pipe and suitable clips almost a year ago. No problems since. Downside is that you need to remove the front bumper to do the job. The clips at the side are absolute s*ds to release.

Olaf, yes, you were right, a cracked pipe, replaced by the garage and luckily close enough to the bottle to be accessed from the wheel arch.

Glad it's sorted and thanks for letting me know. However be prepared for it to crack elsewhere too. I did a quick fix on mine via the o/s wheel-arch liner only to have the bottle drain itself a few months later. I ended up replacing it all. I think that the corrugated pipe probably came from a Ford parts bin.
