V60 2018
Hi Everbody,
This is my first post although I have been reading through some of the forum since joining. I have never had a Volvo, but am thinking of getting the current model V60 D4 Momentum Pro and would welcome any advice/comments from people who may have one. I see this diesel engine has the same capacity as the previous model and wondered if it is the same engine and also who makes it? My daily ride is a Honda Accord idtec estate 2.2 diesel EX, with all the bells and whistles fitted as standard. Unfortunatly no longer available in the UK. Cheers, Pete. |

Hi Pete
My V60 is the previous model, so I can't give much advice on the later car. All diesels now use the Volvo Engine Architecture (VEA) 2L, 4-cylinder engine in a variety of power outputs... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volv...e_Architecture I also went from a diesel Accord to my current diesel Volvo because of the non-availabilty in the UK of a 9th gen Accord.

Snap.
I have recently changed my Honda CR-V EX 2.2i DTEC for a new Volvo V60 D4 Momentum Pro. I was looking forward to getting a new CR-V, but Honda is no longer producing a diesel engine for the CR-V. I have added a number of options to my V60 that brought the price up to just over £39,000. It's a nice car to drive and the engine has a lot of grunt- far more than my CR-V. It is very low and not so easy to enter or alight from. The seats are very comfortable. I have had it just on five weeks so I can't comment on fuel consumption just yet as I haven't done a huge mileage. I am still not accustomed to all of the technology which will take a bit of getting used to. |

This is the spec I have, MY19 Momentum Pro...
Love it, massive difference from my V40 and in fact the older V60. D4 is a lovely engine, loads of oomph and torque. The auto box is a bit naff though compared to the power plant, but you get used to it. I am 4000 miles in and still loving it... |

Hi All,
Thanks for your replies. I will start reading the posts on the Sub Forum that MCV60 gave me the link to. It takes a little time to find ones way around a new Forum. Cheers, Pete. |
