Default Independent specialist badly needed

Looking for a reliable and knowledgeable specialist for my beloved V70R II AWD 2007. So far it has only seen dealer garages where they do expensive, bad work and display no ability, care or expertise.

I have looked into the list of independent garages, but it is old and many places are not around or are specialising in older cars.

I am located in Battersea, central London, but would be willing to travel for the right shop. I used to maintain my cars a while back when electronics and lack of time were less, so more often than not, I can tell a good mechanic when I see one.

Please email psv.volvo@gmail.com if you are aware of such shop(s).

Many thanks,
P.

As 'andy d' implies, it rather depends on how far you are prepared to travel. I know of an outfit in Melton Mowbray that would not disappoint, but maybe that is too far?

Regards, John.

Default JC Garage

JC Garage are great. It's a father/son set-up who have been there for decades and really know their stuff. I've been using them for nearly 10 years with various cars - currently a V70R P2. They are conscientious and thorough, to the point of marking in Tippex when e.g. the cambelt was changed.

They are at 79 Bloomfield Road, SE18 7JJ, tel. 020 8316 0014.

For avoidance of doubt, I have absolutely no connection with them other than as a satisfied customer.
