That sounds like Tracy who was running it when we were there, some of the time she'd be ok or even quite funny but other times she'd be in a total rage. We stayed for 2 nights and on the first night she stormed off and left us to run the pub ourselves, she also had a strange tendency to snatch peoples phones from them and drop them in the pickle jar if you used them inside the pub. She did get some amazing bands playing there though, way bigger than you'd expect to see! She also had a particular sheep which wore a pink collar and took a liking to one of our mob-something he has yet to live down
I know this makes it sound like the last place you'd want to visit but I would go back again as on the whole I did enjoy it but if you're the type of person who expects proper service like you'd normally get then you may not enjoy the Tan Hill experience-and it really was an experience!!!

we might stay there for christmas !!
they have a policy that all staff take the day off and guests have to do the cooking etc .Which i think is great

Deep down Tracy is a very clever lady with a golden heart .Her "private house" down south is stunning

That sounds like it could be fun Like I said I would be willing to go back as I did mostly enjoy it but I can see it really wouldn't be to everyone's taste
