Talking 2012 V60 D2 Remap or Racechip

Hi all

New to volvo,I have a 2012 SE LUX NAV D2,so far so good, except for a door locking issue (will be sorted under warranty)

Anyway, the car has no torque, at all,my lexus is200 felt better, and that's saying something!

Anybody ever chipped the engine? Was it worth it? Did it kill your car or cause any issues? Did it make it any better? How did it affect acceleration? How did it affect MPG?
Would you recommend a remap or a Racechip?

Thanks in advance!

There's an easy and simple way of getting gains of over 70 BHP which transforms the car. Sell it and get a D5.

Volvo do with the VEA in the XC90 and get 235+bhp. However 181bhp is fine for me in the XC60 and I tow a heavy Classic car to shows most summer weekends.

I've had a race chip on my d5 previously and if configured wrong it would hit boost cut. It did give extra reliable power when configured correctly.

However, I then had the car mapped by AMD. It has never hit boost cut and is more powerful than when it had the race chip on it.

I would say get a proper remap.
