Do you know will this be able to tell me what unit in my MOST ring has stopped the signal from passing through, or will it just tell me there is a fault in the MOST ring?

Yes, it includes a procedure for a MOST ring break test.

As the MOST bus is a unidirectional bus, it works backwards from what is communicating to find the device that is not communicating
