Default 240 rocker box cover/valve cover

I saw this picture in an advert for a 1987 GLT and I'm interested in the rocker box cover because its filler cap is parallel with the cover instead of angled like mine. Assuming it fits later B230 engines, which it looks like it should, I'd like to buy (and/or swap an angled version for) one.

Or if anyone knows if these were only fitted to certain models or has any more information that would also be appreciated.

Does not fit B2XX engine only B19, B21 and B23

The B2XX engines have the dizzy output (blanked in some cases) at the back of the head. The early engine does not. With a fair bit of work is could be possible to alter the head to take the early cover.

Thanks Dai. It suppose it would be about the same amount of work to alter the filler neck and get it looking stock.

I suspect it would actualy be less work modding the filler neck tbh
