Thanks and will report back tomorrow and hoping it's resolved tomorrow with change of battery.

On my V70 any number of factors, apart from state of battery state of charge, can affect start/stop. Internal temp, external temp, engine temp, steering wheel position, gear selected (reverse) are but some of them.

My start/stop almost never works until Ii charge the battery. I only do short journeys, but it didn't recover enough on a 100mile journey either. Once i charge it it works for about a week.
This time of year though there is a lot going on in the car!

My wife has a golf that always works....

Seems to be a bit of a theme building on battery issues. The time of year should not matter as the car should be able to cope with that like any other. We have not seen any challenging weather yet.

Hi. Update as my car has been into the dealers today follow all my issues with the battery. Volvo UK fully aware and been quite helpful. The dealers have:

- updated the software
- reset the 30 or so modules
- the battery appeared to be ok but clearly something in the modules which wasn't working properly thus draining the battery. The dealers view that something running in the background causing the issue.

Everything seems to be working ok and will report back if I continue to suffer issues with the battery.

How did you get on Neon?

So start/stop still hadnt worked until i drove home this evening, temperature was +6C and my engine was probably warm when i left work this evening as i had to pop out at lunchtime in my car. I was a few miles from home and had to stop at a pedestrian crossing and start/stop kicked in. It seems to be an exceptionally fussy/sensitive system.

Mine was checked today and battery is ok. Was at 73%, but interestingly the alarm is triggered at 70% according to dealer, they could not understand why so high. I have not had any normal battery warnings since getting car, it was the auxiliary heater cutting out due to battery that had me a bit concerned. The dealer said there was nothing recorded on the car system that it had happened.
I will monitor it closely before I go away.

Also another software update done on my car, no idea what is was for. VOC app still does not trigger auxiliary heater on the first attempt.

Did they update any of your software? makes me think the software upgrade i received lowered the alarm limit.
