Default Back again with my gold V70

Some may remember I flew in here weeks ago bemoaning the purchase of a Volvo V70 as within a week the clutch went and I wasn't given 2 keys, only the mechanics key.

I even put him up for sale here at one point!

However, I persevered and decided to put in a new clutch (not me personally.. The garage) for £850 and see what happens.

I also got him a major service which it looked like he'd never had, and he drives like a dream! I adore him. Within a week of this, my Ford focus had a load of issues, so I've been pretty much driving him constantly since.

I've still got to get a proper key for him, and nobody told me about the wet footwell issue if the filter area in the engine bay is blocked. But apart from those two things left to sort I'm so happy with him, especially as I've 2 shepherds who struggled in the focus....

He's creaky.. but I think I would be at 226,700 miles lol

So I'm back. I'm not getting rid of him. I'm now learning as much as I can so he'll still be around for another 200,000 miles.

Cambelt next job as no papers saying when his last one put in....

Well done, that woman! I have a 240 Torslanda est as daily driver, never fails. A friend bought a V70 for 600, ran it for 8yrs, think, building trade, never failed him, either. Sold it for 300. Hang in there!

When I got my V70T5 I had no idea when the cam belt was done so had it changed. The garage (who I have used for many years) advised renewing the water pump at the same time as this is readily accessible when doing the cam belt.

I remember reading the tales of your misfortune, and glad things seem to be going better for you now.

Hopefully the dogs are fighting fit now as well, as the car.

Good Luck to you.
