It has a breather pipe and a larger plastic pipe to the inlet. Gonna see if I can get hold of new pipes.
Cheers guys
The big pipe that goes over the rocker cover is NLA. The smaller one that goes from the t piece is still available along with the thicker one.

I can have a look in the morning for the price of seals, or if you're near your 740 the paperwork from FRF was in the front footwell for you
740 is 9 miles away at the moment in my office car park ! Funnily enough I had that invoice in my hand at lunchtime

So a new cambelt oil seal and a new pcv and hoses, I'm an electrician and changing the cambelt and seal is a bit past me....
I bought the car with a known issue which was supposed to be the exhaust gasket. On tick over she sounds fine bit is acceleration and you can hear the blow, on inspection it appears to be coming from the top cam belt cover.
I drove the car about 50 miles on deceleration she cut out I found the fuel regulator hose had a hole in it thinking that could be the issue but no fuel was coming out the end.
Looking for someone to give it a good going over and some TLC.
I'm taking a trip to lakes in Bedford to grab a few bits.
I might take a leap of faith and do the works myself🤞🤞.. The cars seem pretty straitforward to work on..he says...
Any pointer as to how much I should expect to pay for the above would be appreciated.

As the others have said, it's well within the scope of the home mechanic but get yourself a Haynes Owners Workshop Manual before you start.
NOT one of the "Service and Repair" Haynes manuals as they're as much use as a choclate teapot.
You should be able to do it with a reasonable 1/2" drive socket set and a 2' breaker bar and a few other general tools. Don't forget to retension the timing belt after 600 miles at TDC as well.

Dave, where do you get a Haynes Workshop manual ? I have the service and repair one which is not great but kind of handy. Never seen a workshop one though ?

Good point Mark - i was in "7xx mode" but you can still get secondhand 740/760 Workshop Manuals which in fairness would be a good start :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224433630806

Covers probably about 90% of the stuff on the 9xx models except the glass sunroof (which is similar to the steel one anyway), the Bosch ABS-2E ABS system introduced around 92/3 time, the Turbo+ system and probably a few other bits. The Service and Repair manual should cover those things so would be a handy back-up but the older 7xx Workshop Manual would cover most of the things on a 9xx in much better detail.

And the fact that I now have a 740 makes even more sense

Try the recommendation in the post above yours - alternatively depending which V40 you have, a Mitsubishi (1.8GDi engine) or perhaps a Ford dealer/specialist.

Also, subtle hint time - this is the section of the forum for 7/9xx models, you may well get a better suggestion posting your question in the S/V40 section of the forum
