2 x Bosch Car Batteries drained
Hi lads,
this is kind of weird, well im no good with electrics, & that type of stuff.. so this is what happened, I noticed on Sat morning the car didn't have a strong turn over when I started it.? didn't think much of it, next day battery flat as a pancake, took the Bosch one from my 850 & the exact same thing & now two batteries drained car hasn't moved, could it be the alarm.? I think once I just locked it with the key & didn't use the fob, just to rule that out..still ate the power, car is 1998 S70R Cheers vol.

it might be a duff door light switch or the glove box light might be staying on, have a look around the car in the pitch black, just a thought also it could be the alarm siren poss

my mate had the prob with his floor lights, kept draining his battery,so i went round at night, and saw that it,s was very dim, also his red door light was on, could,nt find the fault, but took bulbs out and no more flat battery, but poss earth fault, might be door switch breaking down.

It sounds like the door microswitch problem again - pulling the bulbs out of the interior circuits doesn't help, as the body control unit doesn't shut down if the door is still showing "open" - the controller consumes a fair bit of current on its own (something like 135mA) when the whole car should have shut-down to 20mA normally.
