Last question(s) - build thread mentions the engine using oil 'alarmingly', is this still the case or has it been fixed? Slight mention of a 940 sacrificing its parts into this car but nothing definite except the headlining?

Are there any faults with the engine at all?

Don't remember that? The engine is oil tight. I've added the lower chassis brace from my 940 to it apart from the headlining. The engine is sound. Just done 400 miles yesterday, didn't miss a beat.
Just got to sort the wheels and it's good to go. Do you want to come up on the train and meet me at the station?

5000 leaves being blown out of the air vents now.
All fixable though.
Which station is nearest/most convenient? Weekdays/weekends?

Default leak

The leak was the rear crank seal iirc , it was sorted when my brother took the gearbox out to give it a flush and filter change.

Train to Swineshead bridge from where ever you're coming from. Next week is good.

Is there any chance we could meet at Grantham? There only seems to be two trains per day to Swineshead for me, whereas Grantham is pretty much hourly.

I could possibly cycle from Grantham to Swineshead, it's flat down your way so shouldn't take too long.

The other alternative is get a lift down but that'll take a bit more arranging.

To say I am a bit ****ed off is an understatement. Some cockwomble in a Fiat Bravo has completely mullered the car. She hit it up the arse doing 50. Her car was demolished, my 740 is fubared. I'll post 2 pics shortly.

Bloody hell, most importantly though are you okay physically?

Guessing it will be a write off?

Would you buy it back to break it and try to get some money back from it?

Hadn't thought of that. My Polaris wheels are on it. One is ****ed but might repairable. Do I go and get them tomorrow and but 4 dracos on it. Or wait and see what they assess it at. The Polaris are worth £££. The car was practically sold for £750.

I would definitely be taking them off and putting the dracos on it just to be on the safe side.

It's an absolute shame and a waste of a 740.

I would be trying to buy it back to make as much as you could off of it and to help keep others going.
