Default C30 T5 Advice Please

We bought a C30 T5 with an engine that potentially sounds like there is a problem starting with the bottom end. The idea was a parts donar car for our V50 in the future if it needed anything mechanical. My issue is this car is pretty much immaculate. But is is worth fixing and maybe keeping or selling on to live another day. Car is registered late december 07 with a decent spec, premium sound, heated seats (look like R-Design in cloth) nice bodykit and siting at 102K mileage. If properly fixed what would this be worth to sell on? Advice please, labour time/costs is not an issue.

All depends on what you paid for it vs price when running right and cost of new parts. As it stands it's worth around £4k if working well?

Thanks for reply, engine will get a bottom end rebuild, crank, bearings etc. Would be left 100%. Might be borderline cost vs reality at 4k, if it was nearer 5K I would deffo repair.

Not sure a 2007 pre-facelift with over 100k will make £5k. Think there's a white facelift with 100k-ish for £5600 on Autotrader and has been for weeks, and generally facelifts go for at least a grand more than any pre-facelift. I'd budget for a sale price of £4k and anything over that is a bonus. The other thing I'd say is a lot of people are scared of cars with rebuilt engines too (especially freshly rebuilt ones without thousands of miles 'bedding in'), and the T5 unit is pretty robust so almost all other examples for sale will be on original engines.
