Cool Volvo V40. seabelt warning.

Hi All,

My wife purchased a V40 Es yesterday but we have an issue with the passenger seat.
Although there is no one in the passenger seat it keeps beeping until I plug in the seatbelt.
It's made even more strange because the dashboard display says there is only driver in the car. Any ideas?

I have a vida dice if its something I can knock off easily.

Thanks in advance.

Hi
You don't have anything on the passenger seat, like a handbag, few bottles of beer/ wine.
Ours beeps if anything is placed on the seat.

No, Nothing at all. It's quite baffling because you would expect it to show on the display that it is occupied.

I have to keep buckling the seatbelt in.

Hi, did you ever resolve this issue? Can anybody else help?

I’m having exactly the same issue. I’m presuming this issue lies with the occupancy mat on the passenger side creating a permanent on switch meaning the seat belt buckle switch must be made to disable the warning.

Have checked all contacts below seat and they all look good. Any other trouble shooting tips would be greatly appreciated.
