Just out of curiosity, was the much difference between the price you had agreed and what they are now selling it for? Could you get a comparative bargain if you bought it now?

It’s on for £2k more than I had agreed (after dealer contributions) and my price also included the servicing pack, 360 camera and BLIS. So that’s probably another £1500. Definitely some room to negotiate!

I think the problem is, once you have had this kit before you don’t want to go back.

I wouldn’t now want to go back to a car without 360 or BLIS.

360 brilliant for parking and lining up accurately in a space.

BLIS, I like the way it gives me that extra confirmation and even flashes like the clappers if you indicate and there’s a car in your blind spot.

Exactly this - they aren’t essential but they do make life easier and, in the case of BLIS, provide added reassurance. Given the only reason I was persuaded to change was that I’d have the same spec in a newer car for nominal extra cash, I’m comfortable keeping the current car. The V60 does look great in fusion red in the showroom though!

So here’s the thing, having looked into the non availability of BLIS and Park Pilot I have discovered the following;

If you buy a car through the Volvo Care Flagship programme you can have BLIS and Parkpilot features and that applies to cars other thn those where it would be standard fit. This begs the question what is the point of saving a few chips now? Simple answer it keeps build volumes up for Volvo and of course profits. Doesnt matter that your spending thousands on a product that cannot be specced for safety the way you might want it to be, unless your a Care rental customer that is. Call me cynical if you like…
