Rear spoiler.

Evening all, does anyone know where the best place to get a genuine rear spoiler for my 2008 V70 is. I do have a dealer locally but they are next to useless on anything more than an oil filter so I would like a reliable source. Any help would be great.

There was a genuine used one on eBay from Germany recently. About £150 as I recall. Keep an eye out for V70's being broken on eBay, and if you find more than one, let me know .

Finding secondhand spoilers is harder than finding Hens teeth . I gave up and bought a Fiberglass repo for £69 a few years ago of ebay from supplier in south london . Cant find anything from them on ebay at the moment but there are some from poland Needed quite a lot of prep before painting which I did myself but once done and fitted you cant tell the difference .

Thanks for the replies, I've looked at the Polish ones do they come with all the fixings? Don't mind prepping it but don't want a bond on type one never trust the stuff. Second hand are really rare easier to by the boot lid and weight it in for scrap after you've removed the spoiler. Can they still be bought at the dealers?

Have you tried FRF in Swansea ?..... Main dealer and quote C3 I think for discount to forum members...

I went down this route, and in the end went for the Volvo genuine. Firstly it will 100% fit, it comes painted with a factory colour and finish. If you buy a copy they are generally not painted, I rang around bodyshops and all advised get the genuine one.

Not sure with the polish made spoiler , but a question to the seller could clarify. My aftermarket spoiler had exactly the same fittings as the original and fitted easily . The prepping consisted of blocking flat and filling minor imperfections in the gel coat. Four years on look original . If you can do the prepping and paint you can save a shed load of money but if you have to rely on a body shop it's probably easier to buy original already painted.

I fitted my own years ago, bought from Volvo around £120 (2004) No hassle to fit as it's shaped - just drill 4 holes - make a template...

Loads on ebay - probably in your body colour as well. Around £65 with free shipping.

I think you're referring to P2 models <2007 which are a lot easier to find spoilers for. I'd challenge anyone to find a pre-painted genuine P3 spoiler on eBay for £65 and if you do, please let me know as I'd buy it in a flash
