I also receive a push notification from the app on my phone (iOS) if the car is left unlocked for any period of time (not sure what this period is, 1/2 an hour maybe). There have been quite a few occasions where this has proved its worth.

Hi, can I just clarify that VOC actually does inform you of a window being open? My wife left a window open all night a few months back and I never got a warning on the app. Unlocked door(s) and boot, absolutely but nothing for windows.
EDIT: just asked someone on the VOC chat this very question and they informed me that in the UK this option is not available, so I am even more intrigued

We parked up and went for a walk. Half way round I got the notification on the app "Window Open". Toyed with the idea of walking back, but continued with the walk. Convinced it was not open. Got back to the car and one of the rear windows was just a crack open, so the app was absolutely correct (and I was correct not to bother to walk back to sort it out). So for me, on Android, with a 2016 car, yes I definitely get a notification of window open.

Also I think up thread someone else tried it and got the notification. Check out post #15 and #16

I hadn't known that the app showed an open window, so I went and checked.
The app shows Doors Locked or Unlocked. I went to the car, unlocked it, opened a window, then locked the car.
Checked the app, pressed Door locked on the Home page. App showed an schematic of the car with "window open" by the window that I had left open.

The app doesn't send a message telling me the window is open, whereas it does alert me that the car is unlocked. Nor does locking the car by the app close any open windows.

I pretty much did the same as Wizzpop word for word last night, with the same results.

No alert on my iPhone unfortunately, but reading another thread I set the Volvo VOC app as a skill on my Alexa and it recognised (after a while) that a window was indeed open (and it was just slightly open also). Appreciate that this is no good when away from home, but helpful all the same.
