Heater / Blower dismantling instructions
Hi
Unfortunately I've got to torment myself and remove the fan from the heater unit on my 144.....not looking forward to it really. A French chap called Capt something did post a jpeg a few years ago, of a blurry set of instructions but I'm having a job reading it as it's all pixelated Does anyone have a set of destructions, sorry instructions...?? Many Thanks

What a pig of a job!! got the heater unit out in two and half hours by torch and inspection lamp, in the snow. Got the motor out and there wasn't much I could do....bit of oil on the bearing end and cleaned the business end with some anti-static foam (bad idea in hindsight, I think)
either way, spent a further two hours to get it back in, connected up, plumbed in and it's completely not running now!! didn't even check it with a spare battery.....what a numpty!! So, think I'm going to have to take it out and get it overhauled Until then - shammy it is but in the meantime, anyone know of spares? ideas? It's such a shame as these blowers at this time of year are legendary!! Cheers

Did it work before removal or was that why you took it out?
I have a complete fan and motor here in Dorset if you need to replace it and I know its a good one as its the original unit from my 145. I bought a complete spare unit a few years ago and overhauled it and just changed them over (I had a leaking heater matrix) Let me know if you need it, should be able to post too if you have no plans to travel down this way anytime soon
