I have my music collection on a 128Gb thumb drive connected to one of the USB ports, which works just fine. However, when I select "Album" view on the central display it's only partially successful in displaying the albums correctly. For single artist albums it displays correctly, but for compilation albums it shows each track separately so you may end up with 20 images of the same album because it has split them by artist. Selecting one of these albums only plays the one track and not the album.

So here's the numpty question. How do I get albums to stick together irrespective of how many artists there are contributing to it?

I've tried re-organising the USB layout which is currently Artist > Album > Track to just tracks, to Album > Track. I've deleted all ID3 tags, disabled Gracenote, and scoured t'internet, but can find no solution.

Is there a simple solution, or is this a feature which simply replicates selecting a list by "Artist"?

Thanks in advance.

There have been several discussions about this on the forum; I suggest you do a search.

I've posted about it myself as it's a constant source of annoyance that you cannot simply access the tracks by folder. I seldom use USB for music (now use Spotify) but when I was looking at it I seem to remember that Sensus was using the ID-tag for 'Album Artist' rather than 'Album' and this was causing the multiple track displays. I think I tried changing both these entries on all the tracks to be identical but I can't remember the outcome.

You can have a go at re-writing the ID-Tags with this utility: https://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Get yourself an old iPod, load your music onto it, then leave it plugged into USB. Works great with voice activated search etc.
