Why would anyone want to fit an illegal video in motion device ?

agree, but was interested in it (apparently) running other android apps. The video isn't very clear and their web site has no other information. May be when Volvo launch sensus running on android in a year or so it will be a software update to earlier cars (though very much doubt it!). One problem with stock sensus is it really has very few apps - I had expected many more to have become available over the last couple of years, but no.

I hear that the new ios12 will allow non apple apps to used on apple car play.

It already does, I have iPlayer Radio and Amazon Music installed

Thats not because of iOS 12, those apps have worked from the beginning. What is new is the ability for Google Maps and Waze to work, Apple have never allowed third party maps before and are now opening up their API to developers.

To be pedantic, iPlayer Radio and Amazon are non-Apple Apps that have been enhanced to provide CapPlay support after the launch of CarPlay, they haven't always been there

I think Crockers means non-Apple Maps, which is new for iOS 12, and not Apps
