I've managed to sort out the alignment on my sunroof panel. It now tilts open and shuts again and sits where it should at rest, instead of with one corner down like a table with a wonky leg.
I also managed to remove the trim panel for re-covering in a length of charcoal headliner material. Whatever you do, don't ask me how i did all that, it just happened! I did remove the main panel after getting the trim panel loose and there is provision for adjustment at the front and the rear, the screws halfway along each side are there as a fulcrum more than anything and to secure it to the part that slides back and forth on the cables to open and shut it in both tilt and slide modes. As such i can only suggest lubrication with a silicone lube spray, silicone grease on the sunroof panel seal and adjusting the position of the main panel. At some point i need to drop the headlining again so i'll have another look at the sunroof mech then - meanwhile good luck with yours!
