Default Voice control and phone (XC60)

Is there any way of stopping the Voice command responses without having to listen to them all. I do use Voice commands a lot but often, for example I'll say " Call Joe Blogs" and it'll reply "What sort of music would you like to listen too bla bla bla " followed a repeat. Seems a pain to have to listen to all the commands before being able to 'Cancel'. Is there no way to 'Stop' it off a button without having to listen to it all ?

Also, sometimes I can't answer an incoming call, either off the steering wheel or even occasionally with the 'Answer' button on the screen. Anyone else experienced this ?

I always answer with the O steering wheel button and it has never failed.
I feel your pain with using voice to call. It does work but it relies on the contact list from your phone being organised properly.

I find that it is more reliable if the first command is ‘phone’ and the second is just the name as it is written in your phone’s contact list.

For instance....

“Phone”
“What would you like to do”
“Phone John Tesco”
“Would you like to phone John Tesco?”
“Yes”

Job done.

If a recent call, in or out, is the number you wish to dial, a reliable method is to hit the document button below the voice control one, then hit right cursor twice to bring up the list of recent calls. Select the one you want and hit the central O button to call it

I just press button and say "call Kath mobile" and get reply "calling Kath mobile" works every time. Or "call Kath home" if I want to call landline, as long as phone book has the numbers itemised as mobile of home and you say which it works great for me.

Press continuously the voice command button and it cancels. Also the more accurate you are on who you want to call the better the system works. For example "call Steve Jobs Mobile" instead of call Steve

Thanks, I'll give that a try. It sounds encouraging
