I now have on order a pair of their projector specific leds which are similar to the twenty20 ones that autobulbs and others offer where the leds are not 180 degree apart but are both angled down in a vee. https://www.banggood.com/NovSight-A5...r_warehouse=CN

I'll see if it is actually any better and try and get comparision photos when they arrive

I also will try these https://sinolyn.net/products/3-0-d2s...r-lens-customs but with the weather recently it will have to wait til after xmas.
I have a spare pair of good V50 projector reflectors with a new set of these Nighteye H7 LED's in , and they give a well shaped sharp beam and do not put up a bulb fail message in the V50.. PM if interested ..

I also have a spare set as the side lugs on the headlights were broken off (only discovered when i had to change a bulb well after i had bought the car) so bought better used headlights.

I have fitted hid bulbs to my v50 and not once have I been flashed by oncoming vehicles, the light is brighter, the light pattern seems to be ok
I agree the mot tester will question it and fail but
swap back to standard bulbs for the test
I have hid in main beam and fog lights too
lots of light on the road
I work nights so need extra light due to a long drive through the Cotswold

What set did you use for main beam? Never liked the small delay caused by igniter, even quickstart ones were too slow for my liking. Unless you have bixenon projectors and high beam is your second main beam "provider", you dont find the delay annoying?

I'm interested in trying the LED bulbs - how do they manage with the PWM DRL voltage ? Do they flicker ?

Cheers

I've tried a pair of Nighteye LED's and they give the 'bulb failure' message on my 05 V50 contrary to the reports earlier in this thread, I've ordered a set of canbus resistors to see if that fixes it.
