Volvo V40 Starting Problems
I wondered if anyone could has had the same problem as me.
I have a 1.6 V40, 1999 model, with no problems at all untill last week when after doing 2hrs on the motorway with no problems, i stopped for ten mins, then got back into the car and when it started there was hardly any power and the car was backfiring. After 1hr when the rescue services arrived the car was absolutely fine, i had a diognostic check run by a volvo dealer but they could find no faults at all, they only said that possibly the spark plugs were faulty but it had a full service 5 mnths ago. a 50k service, this was not done by a main dealer, so could they have put non approved plugs in? as they are supposed to last 40k, or does the V40 just take run of the mill plugs.
