Default Headlight Washer - No Power to Pump

I have the bumper off my V70 2006 2.4D5. Found that the headlight washer was not working so I have bought a new pump. The pump has been installed but I cant make it run and spray water. Tried 5 short bursts to make it go .. but no joy.

I have put a multi meter across to socket to see if there is a 12v signal but it never seems to power the socket at the pump.

I have swapped the relay in the engine bay and looked at the fuse in the engine bay which seem to be the ones controlling the headlight washer. But still no joy.

Anyone got any ideas??

Many thanks, Rich.

Good news .... I sorted it. Went back after a brew plugged the pump back in and hey presto it performed like a power shower!

All good.

I used this item off ebay, £17.00

It works just fine, I had to pull off the Volvo push fit hose clip then use hot water to soften the rubber pipe and slide over the pumps fitting then use a small jubilee clip to tighten up.
