Default Climate Control Unit dead after replacing battery

Hi everyone.

2002 V70 2.4 Replaced the battery today and now the climate control unit is as dead as a dodo. I read online that this is possibly caused by the thermister. I soldered it back together, but still no joy. All fuses good.
Anyone any ideas?

Did you follow the procedure in the manual when changing the battery? i.e wait 10 minutes after switching off ignition to ensure all the systems are shutdown safely. I can't see any connection between changing the battery & the need to solder thermistor back together. A broken thermistor will just give erratic temperature control.

Have you checked the fuses? Did you connect the battery the correct way when re-installing? Any other symptoms?
