A few things I would like some advice on please if possible

I will soon need to replace the rear half of the exhaust on my 850 2.5 20V estate, she is 25 years old and still has original rear section.
So in the absence of an original Volvo replacement, which particular brand offers the best longevity and closest match to the original?

Also..

Does anyone know where I can get either Volvo, Lemforder or Febi rear inner and outer control arm bushings for the same car? (both sides).
Volvo Part Nos: 9181027, 9181013 and 3156122 (x2)
(I already have the new brackets!).

I will also soon need another set of the above bushings for my 1995 T5 estate.

Many thanks guys.

Can't help with the exhaust question, but if either or both cars are keepers I'd be tempted to look at the availability of poly bushes for the control arms.

Klarius for the exhaust, fitted one to mine, good fit but a bit louder than original

I doubt pilybushes would be available as the rear suspension bushes are designed to be 'squishy ' to give a four wheel steering effect. Meyle, Lemforder or Febi would be fine. Plenty on ebay, but make sure you are buying genuine as there are a lot of fakes around.

I've just fitted a Klarius rear exhaust on my 850R, a perfect fit. It replaced a noisy aftermarket one, so the Klarius is quiet in my experience.

Another vote for Klarius here - fitted one to a 940 many years ago, and as stated ^^^^ it fitted perfectly and was of a decent quality (not Volvo quality, but good for an aftermarket item).

Thanks for the advice guys, I will seek out a Klarius exhaust.

I have discovered that the original Volvo rear bushings are available in the USA from various vendors, but they are expensive.. More so with the shipping and import duty.
Won't see change from around £500 for sets for both cars!

Would be good if there were companies who would refurbish them.
These cars are becoming classics and so deserve some classic support from quality suppliers.

Both mine are keepers, best share my mileage betwen two to keep them low!

Stay rolling!

Why would you be looking to buy bushes from the states when there are plenty of quality ones on ebay? Just curious.

Might be worth dropping https://www.classicswede.org an email - he may consider stocking them? He doesn't really cater for 850s at the moment (he's more redblock) but if the market is there...

I have tried a set of the aftetmarketbushes and they have failed within 2 years. When I got in touch with Febi, they told me the one's I had were fakes.

I would prefer to spend a few hundred on getting original Volvo bushes if I can, after all the old ones lasted 26 years before becoming MOT advisories!

Apparently there are a ton of fakes on eBay and the really cheap brands are made like paper clips!

Thanks
