So today I decided to sort out the broken headlamp I had and swapped out the old broken lamp for a tatty second hand one I bought on fleabay for £20.

After fitting I gave the Mantis stuff (£5 on fleabay) a go. Wow, literally just 2 or 3 minutes and the difference is obvious. Left hand side treated, right hand side not.

When I have the time to give it some proper attention I think this stuff will do an amazing job!

After much messing about got Sven through MOT
after yet another set of lower suspension arms. Yet another LHF hub (only changed last year)
And replacing the rear exhaust back box. (Had a crack in it about 50mm long.
And number plate bulbs.
Not bad for a car that is 19 years old

I used Dr Leather Wipes to clean/ & condition the T5's seats and was amazed by how much dirt came out of what looked like relatively clean seats.

Whilst the result looked great it has turned out to be a little too shiny and far too slippery for real comfort so this morning I've treated them to a going over with Meguiar's G17914EU Gold Class Rich Leather 3-in-1 Cleaner Conditioner Protectant.

Not only has it removed even more ingrained grime, it has left the seats softer and reduced the slipperiness of the surfaces. I have not used a Meguiar's product before, but if that is an example of what Meguiar's can do I might well try other products from the range.

I've read that a second treatment in a few days time should have the seats back to what they should be.

Give it a little more time to rest. Based on my experience with a few leather cleaning/caring products (including Meguiars), you should wait for at least two weeks. Best to do is every other month.

I'll write up a small "leather guide" in the next days (maybe today, it's way to hot for doing anything outside). I'll put in a link here.

Bleeding NS headlight bulb failed today. Hasn’t done that for a few months....
However, I’m sure I win an award for getting my chubby little sausage fingers in there and changing it in a sub 3 minute period. I’ve spent over an hour on the cursed thing before....
